Hello Parents and Students,

It was wonderful to meet so many of you at the back to school Zoom call! I look forward to getting to know you over the coming year! As was discussed in depth on the call we will be creating individual ePortfolios over the coming year. I know that some of you expressed concerns about security and privacy.

It is my hope that these ePortfolios can assist us as a great way to communicate and track your students' progress as we progress throughout the year. I have emailed the below permission slip to each of you. As of today 9/10/20 I have received many of them back! well done! I will be following up with those whose I have not received over the next week.

A brief note:

• Once you have returned the permission slip we will begin creating your child's Portfolio

• Your student will determine when (or if) to share his/her/their portfolio. (other than you and I)

• If you do not want your child to participate contact me and I will send you the alternate paper based Folder Portfolio Assignment and requirements.

note this is an in-class assignment and should not require time outside of school to complete.

Note - I did not create this permission slip- I found it through google sites. I will need to discuss the specifics with the Principal and consult with the District where (and if) I teach.
